While Barack Obama is by most measures of our society an enormously successful lawyer-politician, he does not need to the the President of the United States.

My Top 10 Reasons Why?  I have others!

1. Lawyers know law, not economics, nor anything related to job creation or job growth.
2. Barack knows absolutely nothing about military affairs.
3. Barack believes you can have a rational discussion with the irrational dictators and despots.
4. Far too liberal – unless he were running for the lead spot in a Socialist country.
5. History has shown that enacting the taxation policies espoused by Obama will hurt the economy and possibly send us into another Great Depression.
6. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has fallen since August 28, 2008 – the day Obama accepted the Democratic Party nomination, and has only stablized in the last few days as the polls have tightened.
7. By a overwhelming majority, CEOs agree that Obama’s policies will kill American productivity (See survey.)
8. It is a DANGEROUS world out there…and some countries hate us for variuos reasons (ie – being an ally of Israel, etc)
9. At no time has Obama ever cut the tax burben when he has been given the opportunity to vote to help us.  On the contrary, he has voted 94 times to increase taxes.
10. Considering these points, our Children deserve better.  Let’s not leave them a problem.  Let’s make this a better country where they can find a job, save money to by the home of their dreams, and raise loving families.

If you really want to make history, make it for a positive reason.  All elections are history-making events.  This election will be a history-making event if eitherwins – Obama or McCain .

It is clear job-creating Business leaders chose McCain over Obama largely because his policies are seen as pro-growth, whereas Obama’s policies are viewed as redistributive and anti-growth.

Pretty stunning – don’t you think?

Why is this important?

Easy question!  The mind of the CEO is set toward company growth and profitability!  This means more jobs and better performance for your 401Ks.

The survey is important in that it gives the regular person, like me, a idea what the average CEO is thinking, especially how he believes a President can make or break the economy.

In an overwhelming majority, 80% of the CEOs support John McCain.  When asked which candidate did they “fear” and astounding 69% responded that they feared Obama.

It is time for common sense, not emotion, in the choosing of our next President.

For all those people, I must challenge you to look at the Barack Obama record on gun control.  Whew!  One good site to review is one hosted by the National Rifle Association.  It is called GunBaNoObama.com.

If you couple Obama’s desire to control, and even ban, firearms with the Democrat-controlled Congress which is now led by ultra liberals like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, and a cast of other characters, you must assume that gun control may reach new heights if Obama is the next President.

This is a serious threat to our ability to “keep and bear arms.”

We could soon find ourselves in a situation where only criminals have guns.  Is that what you want?

I certainly do not!

Now, no one can accuse ABC News of being Pro-McCain.  So, when you read this you must give it a serious consideration.

In the article Obama is quoted as saying:

“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic … You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”

This is a clear indication that Obama wants to mandate that you fork over your hard-earned money because he knows best how to distribute it.

Lot’s of people are now talking about “Redistribution of Wealth”.  Well, just yesterday, I finally heard this put in clear terms that all can understand — “Redistribution of Wealth really means Redistribution of YOUR INCOME.”

Obama’s words reflect this thought that YOU ARE TOO SELFISH and other people, with whom he is associated, need your money.

Are you Selfish?

Are not paying your fair share of taxes?

While baseball is the “national pastime,” the current news is all about the 2008 Presidential Election.  Most people have made up their minds by now, but there are a lot of folks who just don’t know for sure who to vote for.  This is the subject of today’s Blog post.

I will attempt to help you think through this decision. Decision ’08!

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Thinking of baseball and your the manager of a World Series contender.  It is critical that you are victorious for a number of reasons.  It is the bottom of the 9th inning and you need to put your best pitcher on the mound.  Do you put in the proven closer, or do you put in a Rookie?  In the analogy, McCain is obviously the proven closer having been tested time and time again, and we know how he will guide the nation.  Obama, while a smooth talker, has spoken at times as a moderate Republican, however, we must look at his real voting record.  I challenge you to do this.  He is a REAL LIBERAL – voting always for SOCIALISTIC programs.  Obama’s vision for America is to have our nation look more like the socialist countries of Europe.  Do you want to take that chance?

2. What about the Great Depression? Can we learn anything from it? Let’s recall history.  Herbert Hoover made the same tax hikes now being proposed by Barack Obama.  Do you really want to take a chance on sending the nation into another – not just recession – but a real Depression?  It seems far too risky!

3.  How is your 401K, or other investments, doing?  If your’s is like mine, it has really suffered.  So, I would offer that you think for a moment about the Stock Market’s decline since August 28th, 2008.  This is the day Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Party nomination in Denver.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average was over 11,000 on that day, and previously was folowing a typical horizontal track.  Then, it began a nose-dive.  Why?  The investment chief around the country are very smart.  They know the Obama plan, if he is elected will hurt stocks.  This began the dive.  Then came the Mortgage crisis – another Democrat hatched idea that was driven by Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barney Frank to give mortgage to people who really would have been better served paying rent until such a time as they coudl have saved money to afford a house of their own.  When the Mortgage Crisis happen at the feet of the Democrats, they attempted to blame Bush, but it was he who stepped in to save the nations economy.  So, most reasonable folks can send a frightening trend here — Democrats know very little about the real economy, and hurt the economy trying to insert emortion into decison making.  This is a risky venture to allow Barack Obama to align as President with a Democrat-controlled Congress.

4.  Is the problem with our economy President Bush’s fault?  As I just laid out for you above, I believe you can see that it is not.  It is the Congress and their liberal agenda.  The media wants you to think Bush is terrible, but his approval rating, is a result of the bills being passed to him from the LIBERALS in Congress.  If you want a real fright on this Halloween, take a look at the Congressional Approval Rating — it is much lower that President Bush’s.  Their’s is in the teens.

5. Do you really want Barack Obama protecting you from the evils that lurk around the corner for the next President.  He has absolutely no experience in military affairs.  Do you want the Rookie as Commander-in-Chief?

6. Are you, and your loved ones, paying enough taxes?  Remember this, no politician can pay for government programs without tax dollars.  Those come from the people.  That’s right!  Not corporations.  Corporations only add the taxes into the cost of the products you and I buy everyday.  Seems too risky in these times!

It all boils down it RISK and TRUST!

I avoid RISK at all costs.

Avoid RISK and TRUST as your next President, John McCain.

The approval rating for Congress is so low these folks must be on a suicide watch.  The latest poling data I have seen on the web at PollingReport.com shows Congress’s job rating in the TEENS; much lower the Bush’s.  Are you kidding me?   And the Democrats are calling for Bush to be removed?  THEY must go.

The other troubling bit a information is they have had two years of opportunity to reduce George W. Bush’s job rating by sending him bills that he will most assuredly veto so they can cry fowl.  Why not try to work “across the isle” and work together?

How about a CHANGE in the Congressional composition.  Now, there is a CHANGE that I CAN BELIEVE IN, to steal a line from Obama.

OBAMA’s $830,000 Campaign Contribution to ACORN

Yes — the “Community-Organizer-in-Chief” approved this huge contribution to a subsidiary of ACORN for a get-out-the-vote campaign we all now know to be largely fraudulent.

It would be a logical extension to believe Obama will continue to funnel tax payer dollars to this organization.

The market has declined steadily ever since the notion of an Obama presidency materialized.

I know what you are going to say.  No it is not McCain’s fault. 

I would offer up to you that the media (TV, Newspaper, etc) has helped in this decline.  As the media continues to beat the drum to elect no other than Barack Obama the markets have become nervous.

Factor in The Mortgage Meltdown

While the possibility of an Obama presidency is the most significant factor in the decline of the stock market, this is not the only factor.  Also factor in that Barack Obama and his Democrat buddies like Christopher Dodd were key enablers in the demise of the mortgage markets, and this becomes child-play (connect the dots) to figure out who is responsible for the demise of the markets.

Today, we have seen a good jump in the DJIA.  I would also offer that this is due to the recent surge and tighten of the polls showing that our markets may not have to endure an Obama presidency.

In conclusion, I must ask you, “How far down do you want the market to go?”  This ecomomy cannot withstand such a liberal, tax-and-spend politician.

This is one of those times.  You might be thinking – Why?

You may be thinking, “It must be the economy!”  Well, although I could use some extra cash, my spouse and I are both gainfully employed.  Yes, I really did get more than a bit frustrated by the gas prices late this summer and early fall.  Wow, I’d rather not relive those days.

Actually, I believe we, as a nation, must call upon God Almighty to help us elect the best leader for this country which He has blessed so richly. 

If you have looked back through the Old Testament, the children of God went through peaks and valleys where they were either near, or far, from God.  Near God would be a peak!  When they wondered far away into the valley following after their own lusts, they got into big trouble.

Today is no different.

As a nation, we have many churches, and many people who would profess to be followers of God.  But, do our actions show it?  

Here’s a test

When you go to the polls to vote this election year, will you vote for someone who will support the killing of unborn babies?  Will you support someone who has openly proclaimed they would appoint Supreme Court juctices that would make judgements upholding abhorent behaviour.

If you answered “No” to these questions, then I applaud you.

If you answered “No” to these questions, it must also be no secret to you that Barack Obama supports these, and John McCain does not.

This is why, now, more than ever, we must pray fervently to God that He will open the hearts of the electorate, and select a leader that is more aligned with God’s desires than with those within our nation who are consumed with a greedy, lusty desire for the expansion of Government into a socialist state.

The Bible teaches us to pray for our leaders, and thus, while it is appropriate to pray for President Bush, it is also a logical extension of the passage below that we should pray for the election process and help in the selection.

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

May God Bless this Nation as we choose our next President.

I have been a member of three different churches in as many states during my adult life.  Potentially, I could have stayed at any one of these churches.  But, as with many folks, my job as taken me to other locations.  I have also had the opportunity to visit many other churches when those congregations would hold various events – special topical studies, revival meetings, gospel singings, etc.  So, I know a bit about churches and church people.

The odd thing I cannot resolve in my mind, is why the members of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago have continued to associate with their long-time minister, Jeremiah Wright.  He began preaching there in 1972.  Only recently has American learned of the hate speech that this minsiter has put forth from the church’s pulpit.  I have to admit that I was shocked to hear such verbiage from a minister.

This is what I know.

Of all the churches that I have visited, or have been a part, when a minister consistently delivers messages that the congregation does not like, or agree with, that minister is not there long.  He will be removed by the church leadership, or the members in general.  This must mean nothing else but that the members of this mega-church of Chicago like what they were hearing from Wright.

What about Obama?

Another way members express their dislike, and disagreement, is to leave the congregation.  This happens everyday around the country.  Why didn’t Obama leave?  Only he and his family can answer this.
